General

Art Travel LTD (company no. 514895226) is committed to giving equal service to the whole public, including people with disabilities. We invest in making artravel.co.il accessible, convenient and readable for everyone, in line with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, in particular Regulation 35 on the accessibility of internet services.

Standard

The site is built to Israeli Standard SI 5568 "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines", Level AA, which is based on the W3C WCAG 2.0 guidelines. In practice we work to the current WCAG 2.1 Level AA and apply it across all three site languages: Hebrew, English and Russian.

What we have done on the site

  • Sound semantic structure: a clear heading hierarchy, labeled navigation and content regions, properly coded lists.
  • Full keyboard navigation (Tab / Shift+Tab / Enter / Esc) with a clear, visible focus indicator and a "skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Alternative text (alt) for every meaningful image; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
  • Text and background contrast at Level AA or better (4.5:1 for regular text).
  • Forms with clear labels, understandable error messages, and full completion by keyboard and screen reader.
  • A responsive layout for screens of every size; the view can be enlarged to 200% without losing content or functionality.
  • The language and reading direction (RTL / LTR) of every page are set in the code, so screen readers voice Hebrew, English and Russian correctly.
  • No flashing content and no auto-playing video; animations respect the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • A built-in accessibility menu (the icon on the side of the screen): larger text, high contrast, underlined links, a readable font and stopping animations.
  • The WhatsApp, phone and email buttons have clear accessible names.
  • The site works with assistive technology: screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers and voice navigation.

Browsers and assistive technology

The site was tested on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and with the VoiceOver screen reader (macOS / iOS). For the best experience, use an up-to-date browser.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Third-party components (for example Google Maps, a WhatsApp conversation, or the brand sites we link to): their accessibility is the responsibility of those providers and outside our control.
  • Older documents (for example PDF files) uploaded before the date of this statement may not be fully accessible. We will gladly provide their content in an accessible format on request.

Found something that is not accessible? Tell us and we will fix it.
